Introduction to Pembroke

Pembroke Cricket Club was founded in 1868 and shares its ground at Sydney Parade, Sandymount, Dublin 4, Ireland with Monkstown Rugby Club. We are affiliated to the Leinster Cricket Union (and hence also the Irish Cricket Union) and our Mens 1stXI competes at the highest levels of Leinster and Irish Senior Cricket. Our Womens 1stXI also competes at the highest levels of Irish club cricket.

While Pembroke's elite are playing at the top level of their sport in the country, the rest of us can all find a place to play to suit our style/ability/temperment. With 6 Mens sides in Junior cricket and 3 Womens sides (along with the odd friendly touring match) everyone gets their chance to re-enact their favourite cricketing moments. Our Senior sides (Mens and Womens) both play in 2 leagues (the Womens are 40 and 20 overs, the mens are 50 overs) and a main cup, while the men's side also plays in the All Ireland Cup and the Alan Murray Cup(20/20 round robin comp). Our remaining sides all play in a cup and league with the selected few getting to take part in the other 3 Evening Cups.

Our youngsters are by no means left out! We have a strong youth cricket setup in Pembroke, with groups to cater for all children from about 6 up to 60.

Playing cricket with Pembroke is a great way to make new friends, have fun, keep fit, learn, socialise and play cricket.

Of course if playing cricket isn't for you, you can always become a Pavillion member and enjoy all the fun and excitement in the bar and on the sidelines, all without breaking a sweat (unless you want to).
