Grahame Toomey

Name: Grahame Toomey
Nickname: Toomers/Double O
Year joined Pembroke: 1986
Highest team played on: 1st XI
Best captain played under: Demo Keenan or Sean Fitzpatrick (Pat Pong also came into the reckoning)
Whats the one thing you do if you we're president for life: Give Wild Bill life membership and his own shower cubicle and make protestants wear bells around their necks.
Favourite Tipple: Guinness
Highest Score in a match: 139 no - it was an awesome display of power hitting and cross bat digs to scutch
Best Bowling figures: No idea although I was on a hat trick once for the fifths.
Best cricketing memory:

1. Louis Hoffman telling a sixty five year old man that "if there is one more peep out of you pops you are history"

2. Bill Whaley dragging me into the shower in Railway to check out Murph's (railway pro) appendage

3. Webby waving at all the DARTs because "it is just polite - there is a good chance there was somebody on one of them that I know"

4. Webby running off the pitch and standing in the doorway becsause there was a flash of lightning (he was batting)

5.Webby dancing to the the Stero MCs who were playing in the RDS while fielding at silly mid off - I could go on and am happy to do so in person any evening down in the club

Worst cricketing moment: Showering with Robin Hughes and Mick Byers.
Funniest cricketing moment: he Naked cricket match - followed by the arrival of the Gardai due to "reports of strange activities on the park" or Robbie Brophy throwing the ball into the garden as a spectator at a first eleven match. Always enjoyed watching Liam Keegan farm Scammer O'Rourke.
Favourite innings: Any innings of Ed Dwyer or David Cox or when myself and Webby opened for the thirds against North County and chased 120 odd for no wicket in very few overs.
Favourite international cricketer: David Cox (he is living in London now) or Bill Whaley (Tasmanian)
Best teas in Ireland: What a stupid question - who cares?
Favourite ground: The Brook or Stormont
Toys out of the pram award: J/sus Louis Hoffman hands down every time although Ro Malin has his moments.
A short summary of me as a player: I hate fielding and just want to be a "hitter".
